They are the most recognised pieces of equipment in the gym and are so diverse you can use the dumbells to hit every muscle in the body with hundreds of different exercises. They also force you to use your stabiliser muscles, something resistance machines don't do.
Cardio equipment and exercises are beneficial because they help to burn fat as well as increase metabolism and bring down blood pressure.
The benefits of dual-action pulley's (DAPs) as a piece of gym equipment is that they target every muscle from multiple angles. There are a variety of different attachments including straps so you can do a range of exercises such as weighted pull-ups or weighted sprints.
